We slept very well in our tent. It’s so dark and peaceful. You can hear little birds, critters, and animals when you are laying in your bed.
We woke up early and set out on our first morning game drive. The temperature in the morning is chilly, but there are blankets for us in our vehicle.
We saw two rhinos and we were able to get out of the vehicle to get a closer look. One of the most incredible things we spotted was a leopard in a tree with her kill, an impala. The carcass was up in the tree with her, while a hyena waited at the bottom of the tree for scraps. We also were surrounded by a heard of buffalo, and baboons.
On our drive we stopped twice. Once for a light snack of biscuits, tea, and coffee and the second for a bush breakfast. This was at an outdoor kitchen in Kruger National Park. The food was delicious. It was hard to believe this breakfast was in the middle of the bush.
